Rovina Asray is an employment lawyer based in Johannesburg. She was admitted as an attorney in May 2014 and is presently a Senior Associate in the Employment Law Dispute Resolution Department at Bowmans.
Rovina studied at the University of KwaZulu Natal where she graduated cum laude with B Com (Law) and LLB degrees. She worked as a forensic investigator at the Special Investigating Unit since 2007 before joining Bowmans as a candidate attorney.
During her tenure at the firm, Rovina has acquired experience on a range of employment issues including, but not limited to, unfair dismissals, unfair employment practices, unprotected industrial action and restraint of trade matters. She also drafts employment contracts and policies and provides legal opinions on a variety of aspects in employment law.
Rovina has an interest in the employment consequences of Social Media use and is a published author on the topic.
