Despite uncertainty in the global economy, Africa’s economy has trebled since 2002 and the past decade has been one of sustained economic growth. Developments in competition law have been significant to the African business environment, as more countries introduce competition laws and established regulators become more active and robust. This year has already brought about important competition law developments in various African jurisdictions. A snapshot of these developments reflects the important role that competition regulation is playing across the continent.
