UPDATE ON THE STATUS OF THE INFORMATION REGULATOR – CANDIDATES SHORTLISTED

The implementation of the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) is progressing. On 13 April 2016, the Portfolio Committee on Justice and Correctional Services issued a media statement confirming that it has shortlisted 10 candidates for five positions (ie for a chairperson and four ordinary members) with the Information Regulator.
