COMMENCEMENT OF THE ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS AMENDMENT ACT AND THE ICASA AMENDMENT ACT

Last week, the erstwhile Minister of Communications, Yunus Carrim, published a notice in the Government Gazette, setting the date for the commencement of the Electronic Communications Amendment Act 1 of 2014, which amends the Electronic Communications Act 36 of 2005 (ECA), as 21 May 2014.
