Vivienne is an associate in the Litigation practice within the Dispute Resolution department in our Johannesburg office.
Vivienne has experience in commercial proceedings concerning company law, contractual and shareholder disputes; public law proceedings relating to the governance of state owned entities and administrative justice; and Constitutional Court proceedings.
Vivienne has a Bachelor of Laws from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Bachelor of Social Science in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Cape Town.
- Assisted in acting for various corporate entities, including the South African Breweries (Pty) Ltd, in general commercial litigation.
- Assisted in acting for a multi-national oil and gas company in international arbitration proceedings in the London Court of International Arbitration.
- Assisted in advising various state-owned entities in respect of disputes relating to governance and administrative justice.
- Assisted in representing the South African Human Rights Commission (the SAHRC) in the matter between the SAHRC and Jon Qwelane in the Constitutional Court.
